OpenUp® pass-through windows create a convenient connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Use them to connect a kitchen with a patio, outdoor bar, pool area, or other serving space while maintaining a wide view when the window is closed.
All-inclusive price or custom quote in one hours.
A pass-through window can turn a kitchen wall into a practical connection to an outdoor space. Open the window when you want an easy serving opening, then close it when you want the opening secured while maintaining the view between spaces.
OpenUp® pass-through windows are designed for residential and business applications, including kitchens, patios, bars, pool houses, and serving areas.
Every OpenUp® window is custom built to order. Choose from standard or custom sizes along with available glass, sill, frame, and screen options to create a window suited to your project.
An OpenUp® pass-through window creates an opening between two spaces without requiring a full door. The gas-strut awning-style design opens upward to create a convenient serving and entertaining area.
When closed, the window provides a clear view through the opening while its narrow framing helps maximize the amount of visible glass.
A pass-through window can connect:
Every OpenUp® pass-through window starts with a 1-inch insulated glass unit. The standard configuration uses two pieces of 3/16-inch tempered glass separated by a 5/8-inch air space.
Additional glass options are available depending on the needs of your project, including argon gas, Low-E coatings, laminated glass, and solar-control soft coatings.
Double-silver and triple-silver soft-coat options are available for projects where additional solar protection and efficiency are important.
OpenUp Windows combines a wide pass-through opening with durable materials, custom sizing, and several operating options.
OpenUp® uses structural extruded aluminum as part of its hybrid frame design rather than simply wrapping a wood window with a thin layer of aluminum. Accoya® wood is used on the interior portion of the frame, providing a warm wood appearance inside while the exterior aluminum provides the structural frame.
Accoya® wood is used as part of the OpenUp® hybrid frame. The material is known for dimensional stability, durability, and paint retention. Accoya® is also available with PEFC and FSC certification, supporting responsible forestry practices.
OpenUp® pass-through windows are designed with narrow sightlines to maximize the visible glass area. The result is up to 33% more view when the window is closed, helping maintain a wider connection between indoor and outdoor spaces without leaving the opening exposed.
OpenUp® offers standard pass-through window sizes as well as custom sizing for individual projects. Review the available dimensions, sill configurations, and mounting requirements before ordering.
OpenUp® offers a retractable Pleated Screen for pass-through windows.
The screen provides insect protection while allowing you to keep the pass-through opening functional. Screens ordered with the window can be factory-mounted before shipping, and screen options include white or black frames.
Custom sizing is also available for screens ordered after the window has been installed.
OpenUp® pass-through windows use a top-hinged awning-style design with gas-strut operation. The window opens upward to 90 degrees, creating a wide opening between the interior and exterior.
The gas-strut system makes the window easy to operate while keeping the design clean and functional.
For projects that require additional convenience, OpenUp® also offers a motorized option.
Choose your window size, glass package, and available options to create an OpenUp® pass-through window for your project.
OpenUp® custom builds its windows to order and ships custom windows within approximately 4–6 weeks.

He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and we had alot. We purchased a 96 x 42 inch window with a 96 x 12 inch transom push out window for the bar in our new 3 season room. The window looks amazing and is the center piece of the room. I spoke with Adam several times during the process and he made me feel very comfortable with this purchase. Adam even drove to our home and helped with the installation.
