Our gas-strut windows use a top-hinged awning design that opens upward to 90 degrees.
The gas struts support the sash in the open position, leaving the full area below available as a pass-through or serving opening. This keeps the design simple while avoiding additional window panels in the middle of the space.

Our standard insulated glass package uses a 1-inch insulated glass unit with tempered glass and an insulating air space. Additional options include; Low-E coatings, Argon gas fills, Laminated glass, Triple-silver soft coatings.
You do not have to permanently screen the opening to get insect protection.
Our retractable OpenUp® Pleated Screen can be used when needed and moved out of the way when you want full access through the window.
The Pleated Screen works with any size OpenUp® window. When ordered with the window, it can be factory-mounted before shipping, and white and black frame options are available.
