OpenUp Windows combines a wide pass-through opening with durable materials, custom sizing, and several operating options.
Our extruded aluminum is part of the window’s structural frame. It is different from a conventional wood window covered with a thin layer of aluminum. Using aluminum structurally allows us to maintain a narrow frame while supporting the window system.
We design our frames to minimize the amount of material surrounding the glass. Our window design provides 33% more view when closed, allowing more of the opening to remain glass rather than frame.
We pair the aluminum exterior with Accoya® wood on the interior side of the frame. Accoya® has been tested for dimensional stability, durability, and paint retention and is used throughout our hybrid frame design.

An open pass-through window is useful for serving and entertaining, but there may be times when you want insect protection without giving up the opening.
Our retractable OpenUp® Pleated Screen gives you both options.
Use the screen when you need it, then move it out of the way when you want the pass-through completely open. The screen works with any size OpenUp® window and can be factory-mounted before shipping.
